About you
You are skilled at explaining the impact of cyber risk and privacy on business, developing investment plans, and gaining support from stakeholders to integrate IT, information, and privacy risks into digital transformation. You excel at leading teams, promoting new ways of working, and creating a culture of information risk awareness. With integrity, discretion, and flexibility, you are a trusted partner who ensures ‘Security and Privacy by Design’ is embedded in business processes and vendor management. Responsibilities
- Lead and collaborate with peers across IKEA to strengthen the brand, ensuring alignment with security and privacy goals. Promote a culture of continuous development and uniformity in leadership and processes.
- Implement the Information Security & Data Privacy program tailored for Range, while considering the totality of IKEA as well. Lead a community of security leads to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, empowering them to continuously develop and perform at their best. Keep leaders fully informed so they can prioritise and adjust the roadmap with clear sight of risks and resources.
- Promote security awareness, define measures to manage risks, and ensure effective execution of IT controls. Conduct regular security assessments and handle security incidents.
- Communicate cyber risks and privacy impacts to business leaders, securing buy-in and advising steering committees on risk integration into digital transformation.
- Foster a culture of information security and privacy by design, integrating these practices into business processes and vendor management.
- Navigate complex environments, make informed decisions aligned with IKEA’s values, and foster new ways of working with integrity and flexibility.
- Be part of a network of expertise Inter IKEA, leading and collaborating with peers to strengthen and protect the IKEA Brand. Contribute and represent the Information Security and Privacy network alongside the other network leaders, respect diverse views while steering discussions toward progress.
- Lead efforts toward uniformity and commonality, balanced with the freedom to adapt, in leadership and behaviors, common working methods, tools, processes, and continuous organizational development. Balance priorities within core business and Inter IKEA Group, always with what is best for IKEA .

You bring extensive knowledge and experience in information security and data privacy, from developing strategies to implementing solutions. - Master in computer science, Cyber Security or a related technical field
- Between 5 and 10 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity or privacy an understanding of enterprise architecture and security architecture to provide supports to on-going projects.
- Experience in agile practices and ways of working.
Knowledge
- Knowledge related to one or more Information Security frameworks i.e. NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001.
- Knowledge related to one or more IT frameworks i.e. ISO/IEC 27002, ITIL, COBIT.
- Knowledge related to one or more IT Risk frameworks i.e. ISO/IEC 27005, NIST 800-37.
- Knowledge related to one or more Privacy frameworks and standards i.e. GDPR, NIST Privacy Framework, ISO/IEC 27701.
- Experience from developing and formulating strategies and plans answering to a forward thinking, up-to-date wished position in an ever changing business environment.
- Good knowledge of the relevant IKEA business processes and strategies and knowledge of the IKEA franchise system, IKEA vision, and IKEA culture and values.
